| Title: | Cuerpo y metonimia somática en La virgen fuerte, de María Luisa Ocampo | Authors: | Perdomo Batista, Miguel Angel | UNESCO Clasification: | 570107 Lengua y literatura | Keywords: | Body Metonymy María Luisa Ocampo Linguistics Cognitive |
Issue Date: | 2025 | Publisher: | Edizioni Ca' Foscari | Abstract: | This article examines the 1941 play La Virgen Fuerte by Mexican author María Luisa Ocampo from the perspective of cognitive linguistics and the concept of metonymy. The hypothesis is that the work is based on a metonymic structure expressed through the protagonist’s body (somatic metonymy). Ocampo’s intuition corresponds to the latest advances in neuroscience and is known as ‘embodied empathy’ or ‘embodied simulation’. | URI: | https://accedacris.ulpgc.es/jspui/handle/10553/151548 | ISBN: | 978-88-6969-939-9 | DOI: | 10.30687/978-88-6969-939-9/011 | Source: | Hipócrates y sus artificios.
