Resumen: The Amagro mountain, located to the northwest of the island of Gran Canaria, is protected as a Natural Area because it includes exclusive and threatened flora, as well as its geological and geomorphological characteristics, and it is included in the Canary Islands Network of Protected Natural Areas and in the European network NATURA 2000. Presents an important list of plant endemic species, some exclusive and others of special interest, housing even restricted populations of threatened species, distributed both on the escarpments and in the summit or in ravines and hills. Currently, the impacts of anthropic origin in peripheral areas such as "off road" circulation or "mining" incompatible with the limits and above all the "silent" occupation by uncontrolled herbivores, as well as by Invasive species of flora and fauna are increasing significantly and gradually, seriously jeopardizing the foundations that led to the establishment of this environment as a Protected Natural Space.
