Abstract: We host the VI World Congress on Mummy Studies in February of 2007, this time in the Canary Island of Lanzarote. This is, undoubtedly, one of the most remarkable islands of Macaronesia for its contrasting volcanic landscapes. During five days, the Villa de Teguise will become the World's capital place for the mummies study community. From February 20th to 24th, it will be possible to participate on a discussion with near 300 experts of 30 countries. They will present their latest advances on several different fields of knowledge, from archaeology to molecular biology, and also including all disciplines about mummification, conservation and the technical knowlwdge about the fascinating world of mummies.
