La Junta de Calificación, Valoración y Exportación de Bienes del Patrimonio Histórico Español : Un estado de la cuestión sobre sus orígenes y funcionamiento

Abstract

In this article we propose a brief analysis of the Junta de Calificación, Valoración y Exportación de Bienes del Patrimonio Histórico Español, an advisory body of the Ministry of Culture which, despite being unknown, performs important func tions in the management of Spanish historical heritage, such as deciding on the appropriateness of acquiring certain cultural assets for museums and public collections, or examining applications for protected movable objects to be exported from Spain. We will look at its origins, background and evolution, as well as its nature, composition and functioning.
