These networks consist of multiple sensors and active relays that transmit data in real-time to a monitoring unit via wireless communication. However, the inherent noise present in the WBAN environment, due to factors such as the anatomy of the human body and patient movement, can compromise the integrity of the transmission. To tackle this problem, this paper introduces a new network coding approach termed Horizontal Correction Vertical Correction (HCVC). HCVC is designed to improve the integrity of transmission in WBANs and overcome the noisy nature of the environment by using a second layer of encoding provided by a relaying architecture. This creates a solid structure of redundant data, which helps to overcome the noise in the WBAN network. The performance of HCVC was evaluated through simulation for both large and small networks, and the results showed very good performance using the minimum number of nodes. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/136900 | ISBN: | 979-8-3503-5018-0 | DOI: | 10.1109/ISCV60512.2024.10620097 | Fuente: | 2024 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Computer Vision (ISCV 2024) / IEEE, p. 219-246 |
