Catálogo de Cumáceos (Crustacea, Malacostraca) de las Islas Canarias

Abstract

This work presents Lhe first catalogue of lhe Cumacean species that has been recor­ded up to now for the Canary Islands. The check list of species is made from the biblio­graphy and the research of the authors. The results of the "R.R.S. Discovery IJ" of 1968 in deep waters stand out and lhese faunistic reports are published in various papers. The check list consists of 29 deep water species and 8 from shallow sandy bottoms, one of wh.ich is quoted at the genus leve!.
