dc.description.abstractTraditionally, mushrooms and the fungi have had a magical quality that has made them deserving of all types of beliefs and superstitions and have lead to the creation of myths and cults associated with them. Human beings, from very remote times, have used them for different purposes and intentions. The old world is no exception. In the present article we have wanted to examine some of these convictions that occur in classic sources to thus be able to understand their later evolution.en_US
