El díkairon en la obra Indika de Ctesias de Cnido. Propuesta de identificación

Abstract

La imagen exótica que siempre hemos tenido de Oriente ha influenciado en las descripciones que se hacían, en las creencias sobre sus costumbres y en las narraciones sobre seres fantásticos. Relatos que si bien en algunos casos no pasaban de meras fabulaciones en otros tenían una base real. Examinaremos cuál sería el origen y la funcionalidad del misterioso díkairon que iría más allá del simple veneno que se recoge en las fuentes clásicas.

The exotic image we have always had from theEast has influenced by the descriptions the peoplemade, in the beliefs about their traditions and intheir stories about fantastic beings.
