Aplicación web para la gestión de contenidos del Centro de Tecnologías de la Imagen (CTIM)

Abstract

En la actualidad, la página web del Centro de Tecnologías de la Imagen (CTIM) de la Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), accesible a través de la dirección ‘www.ctim.es’, se encuentra desarrollada con tecnologías obsoletas y presenta un diseño algo anticuado y desfasado en comparación con la página principal de la ULPGC. A pesar de que se trata de un sitio web no estructural, su relevancia para la ULPGC justifica la necesidad de cumplir con los estándares técnicos establecidos en el anexo del reglamento de sitios web de dicha institución. La página web del CTIM ofrece contenido de noticias e información relativa a la actividad investigadora de sus miembros, requiriendo una constante actualización. Con el propósito de atender esta necesidad, el objetivo principal del presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado es el desarrollo de una “Aplicación Web para la Gestión de Contenidos del Centro de Tecnologías de la Imagen (CTIM) de la ULPGC”. Esta aplicación serviría de prototipo y experiencia para conocer las dificultades que conlleva cumplir con los estándares técnicos de un sitio web de una organización compleja como la ULPGC. En el marco de este proyecto, se llevará a cabo una remodelación de la página web del CTIM, adaptándose a la estructura y estilo que caracterizan las diferentes páginas web de la universidad. En este sentido, se pretende mejorar el diseño, modernizando algunos apartados y añadiendo pequeñas funcionalidades que contribuyan a hacerla más atractiva para los distintos usuarios.

Currently, the website of the Centro de Tecnolog´ıas de la Imagen (CTIM) of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), accessible through the address ’www.ctim.es’, is developed in obsolete technologies and presents a somewhat outdated and outdated design compared to the main page of the ULPGC. Although it is a non-structural website, since it provides information on research groups for scientific dissemination and popularization, its relevance for the ULPGC justifies the need to comply with the technical standards established in the annex to the ’Website Regulations’ of the ULPGC. The CTIM website offers news and information content related to the research activity of their members, which requires constant updating. In order to meet this need, the main objective of this Final Degree Project is the development of a “Web Application for the Content Management of the Center for Imaging Technologies (CTIM) of the ULPGC”, which will serve as a prototype and experience to know the difficulties involved in meeting the technical standards of a website of a complex organization such as the ULPGC. Within the framework of this project, a remodeling of the CTIM web page will be carried out, without losing the structure and style that characterize the different web pages of the University. In this sense, the aim is to improve the design, modernizing some sections and adding small functionalities that contribute to make it more attractive for the different users.
