The parallelism between management quality and environmental management has been stated by numerous expert and institutions. In fact, in 1990, a part of British chemistry industry was applying already the principles of the systems of quality to increase the efficiency of environmental management activities in its production plants. The recognition of this parallelism reached its logic conclusion with the publication in 1992 of the norm BS 7750, as first world norm related to Environmental Management Systems, what drove to the subsequent approval of the EEC Regulation/1836/93 and finally to the publication of the norm ISO 14001. Nevertheless, to know the kindness of the systemic approximation achieved in environmental management as of the analogy with management of quality; first is necessary to know and to understand clearly some concepts and collateral basic elements to management of the quality, as are: The use of Management Systems of Quality and its installation through the development of the procedures ISO series 9000 and, the evaluation procedures of the conformity and of certification. In this document is described from the same concept of quality; the evolution and control, until the development of the international procedures ISO series 9000, that guide the installation of Management Systems of Quality These procedures intend to assure that the quality of the Products and Services of a company fulfil its political of' quality, as well as the relevant specifications, at the same time that permit the certification of that quality for the address of the company as well as for their/its clients.en_US
