Abstract: La pandemia COVID-19 ha hecho que el teletrabajo se plantee como una opción laboralmuy relevante en el contexto internacional. La experiencia forzada permite estudiar deuna manera más realista cómo perciben las personas esta forma flexible de trabajo.Comprender los motivos por los que las personas quieren teletrabajar es importantepara poder configurar las políticas organizativas. En este trabajo se analizan lasventajas laborales, de conciliación y económicas percibidas por parte de profesores ypersonal de administración y servicios de las universidades públicas españolas y suinfluencia en la intención de teletrabajar en el futuro. Asimismo, se ha estudiado cómoinfluye en esta intención el detentar responsabilidades directivas dentro de lasinstituciones. Con una muestra de 640 miembros del profesorado y del personaladministrativo, se ha corroborado que la percepción de las ventajas relacionadas conel teletrabajo contribuye positivamente a la intención de teletrabajar, lo cual se vereforzado por la experiencia previa al COVID en teletrabajo. Por otra parte, losprofesionales universitarios con responsabilidades directivas muestran un menorinterés en hacer uso de esta modalidad laboral, probablemente debido a la dificultadde coordinación con los equipos de trabajo que tienen a su cargo
The COVID-19 pandemic has made teleworking a very relevant work option in theinternational context. The forced experience allows to study in a more realistic wayhow people perceive this flexible way of working. Understanding the reasons whypeople want to telework is important to shape organizational policies. This paperanalyzes the work, work-life balance and economic advantages perceived by teachersand administrative and service staff of Spanish public universities and their influenceon the intention to telework in the future. Likewise, the influence of holding managerialresponsibilities within the institutions on this intention has been studied. With asample of 640 faculty and administrative members, it has been corroborated that theperception of the advantages related to telework contributes positively to the intentionto telework, which is reinforced by the previous telework experience of the COVID. On the other hand, university professionals with managerial responsibilities show lessinterest in making use of this work modality, probably due to the difficulty ofcoordination with the work teams they are in responsible for
