Se aportan datos métricos, merísticos y biológicos del único ejemplar estudiado, capturado al este de Gran Canaria. Se discuten aspectos relativos al hábitat y comportamiento de esta especie y sobre las causas de los bajos porcentajes de especies tropicales guineanas presentes en Canarias. The first record of Lutjanus goreensis (Valenciennes, 1830) (Osteichthyes: Lutjanidae) of Canary Islands is presented. Metric, meristic and biological data of the only one studied especimen captured of eastern Gran Canaria island are given. Some aspects concernig the habitat and behaviour of this especies and the causes of low percentages of Guinea Gulf's present in Canary Islands are discussed. |
