Title: | Buildings, archetypes and cosmogonies on the edge of the contemporary city | Authors: | García Pérez, Francisco Antonio | UNESCO Clasification: | 6201 Arquitectura | Keywords: | Archaism Memory Periphery Symbol |
Issue Date: | 2019 | Journal: | Architectus | Abstract: | Despite the supposed desacralization of the contemporary world, it is still possible today to trace symbols that come from ancient times. The present article argues that although the symbols involved in the original act of the foundation of a city are distant in time, sometimes they can still be recognized in the construction processes of our cities. The analysis of a specific architectural complex developed in a contemporary city will exemplify the survival of the archetype in the development of our urban peripheries. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/120846 | ISSN: | 1429-7507 | DOI: | 10.37190/arc190309 | Source: | Architectus [ISSN 1429-7507], v. 3 (59), p. 83-90, (2019) |
