La campaña propagandística de Gran Bretaña en España durante las guerras internacionales: proyecto de investigación y principales resultados

Abstract

La Primera y la Segunda Guerra Mundial establecieron imponentes conflictos ideológicos y propagandísticos que afectaban tanto a los países enfrentados como a las naciones aparentemente neutrales, como España. La tesis doctoral «Filias y fobias en acción: propaganda británica en España durante la Primera y la Segunda Guerra Mundial», defendida en enero de 2021, trataba de revelar la campaña propagandística emprendida por Gran Bretaña en el país neutral durante las grandes guerras internacionales. Con el objetivo de destacar su proyecto de investigación y los principales resultados obtenidos, este capítulo tratará de presentar los objetivos, hipótesis, componentes metodológicos y fuentes empleadas, así como las principales conclusiones alcanzadas y las vías de investigación todavía disponibles.

The First and Second World Wars implanted imposing ideological and propaganda conflicts that affected both the opposing countries but also the apparently neutral nations, such as Spain. The doctoral thesis «Philias and Phobias in action: British propaganda in Spain during the First and Second World Wars», defended in January 2021, tried to reveal the propaganda campaign launched by Great Britain in the neutral country during the World Wars. In order to highlight its research project and the results obtained, this chapter will try to present the objectives, hypotheses, methodological components and sources used, as well as the main conclusions reached and the research lines that are still available.
