The present work considers the importance of two basic elements toward the end of the 17th century and the beginning of the 18th century. On the one hand we have the slave trade between Africa and America, which has been extensively studied, and on the other hand we have the tobacco economy. We aim to evidence the existing relationship between human trafficking carried out with participation of the Spanish Crown and the American development of the Spanish tobacco estanco at the time of the international asientos. |
