La violencia contra las mujeres. Una temática más allá de lo artístico

Abstract

Este artículo surge como una investigación dentro la tesis doctoral y cierne sobre los diferentes tipos de violencia que sufren las mujeres por el simple hecho de serlo dentro de la temática de la negación, el ocultamiento y la utilización de la sexualidad femenina. En él se analiza las vertientes de la violencia física, psicológica, social y laboral que se han reseñado en fotografías y performances. Piezas realizadas para hechos específicos y, otros, a modo de generalización pero que, en cualquier caso, surgen como un medio de denuncia social por parte de las artistas.

This article emerges as an investigation within the doctoral thesis and covers the different types of violence suffered by women for the simple fact of being within the theme of denial, concealment and the use of female sexuality. It analyzes the aspects of physical, psychological, social and occupational violence that have been outlined in photographs and performances. Pieces made for specific events and, others, by way of generalization but which, in any case, emerge as a means of social denunciation by the artists.
