Fecha de publicación: | 2021 | Resumen: | Port management is the way in which public and private incumbent actors define, combine, and intertwine their spheres of influence in order to organize and foster port activities. It represents a variety of models built on the base of different institutional, social, historical, and economic frameworks. Core differences among the three major port management models are defined by the different weight and level of cooperation given to the diverse public and private stakeholders. Those governance models have chiefly evolved from public to public–private partnership from 1990 onward defining the regulation, property, and exploitation of the port's infrastructure and services. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/110978 | ISBN: | 978-0-08-102672-4 | DOI: | 10.1016/B978-0-08-102671-7.10483-X | Fuente: | International Encyclopedia of Transportation / Roger Vickerman (ed.), v. 5, p. 229-233 |
