Análisis del turismo de lujo en Lanzarote

Abstract

Lanzarote es uno de los destinos más visitados debido a factores tales como su clima, paisaje y tranquilidad. Debido a la gran diversidad de turistas que llegan a la isla el objetivo de este trabajo es conocer el estado actual turismo de lujo en Lanzarote, sus causas, y proponer una serie de recomendaciones para posicionar la isla en la mente del turista de lujo. Para ello se estudia el lujo, su evolución, los criterios y el perfil del turista de lujo. De acuerdo con la información extraída de una muestra de 10 usuarios que se dedican al sector turístico en la isla, los resultados muestran que Lanzarote no está posicionada como un destino de lujo aunque tiene una pequeña infraestructura destinada a satisfacer a este sector.

Lanzarote is one of the most visited destinations due to factors such as climate, scenery and tranquility. Because of the great diversity of tourists coming to the island, the objective of this work it is to know the current state of luxury tourism in Lanzarote, its causes, and to propose a series of recommendations to position the island in the mind of luxury tourist. To this end, luxury, its evolution, the criteria and luxury tourist profile is studied. According to the information extracted from a sample of 10 users engaged in tourism sector on the island, the results show that Lanzarote is not positioned as a luxury destination, but has a small infrastructure to meet this sector.
