In recent years the Internet of Things (IoT) has become more popular as it makes it much easier for people to carry out their daily tasks. Due to this, the term smart things has become popular, this term refers to the different objects that, making use of Internet connectivity, facilitate the completion of tasks. Our project has mainly focused on smart homes, which are automated homes thanks to the use of IoT. Currently, the most common way to carry out automation in homes is to use devices connected to the Internet and to the home's automated devices. By using the device connected to the Internet, the rest of the devices can be controlled. For this reason, the aim of the project was to create a controller device of this type. The feature that will make this device more attractive to end users is the method of information processing, since in our device all information is processed locally. To make this device possible, a server using the homeAssistant service has been mounted on a Raspberry Pi (RPi). After carrying out various operational tests, it has been obtained as a result that it is an effective device for home automation.
