dc.description.abstract | Emerging diseases are affecting the aquaculture due to its intensification and diversification causing economical and animal losses. This is exacerbated by the stress that the animal suffers allowing the proliferation of the bacteria that originated the diseases. To control this problem is common the use of antibiotics. In this study the antibiotic sensibility of Vibrio anguillarum, Vibrio alginolyticus and Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida was tested using the minimum inhibitory concentrations. The procedure was made in vitro and the antibiotics used were erythromycin, florfenicol, lincomycin, oxytetracycline, sarafloxacin and spectinomycin. Florfenicol and sarafloxacin were effective against all the bacteria strains, meanwhile oxytetracycline was found to be very effective against Vibrio anguillarum and Vibrio alginolyticus but ineffective against Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida. | en_US |
