Issue Date: | 2014 | Journal: | LEA: linguística espanola actual | Abstract: | Along the ensuing pages, we'll expound the import of one of the most relevant and prestigious research projects within the field of Hispanic Philology. The 'Research Project on the Educated Norm,' which will have run for half a century in 2014, traces its origins back to 1964, in Bloomington (Indiana), the US city hosting the Second International Symposium of the Inter-American Program of Linguistics and Language Teaching (PILEI). The said Project was coordinated by Juan M. Lope Blanch up until his death in 2002. This essay aims to sketch the main methodological features of this coordinated research whist highlighting its most far-reaching contributions to the field of Hispanic linguistics. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/72305 | ISSN: | 0210-6345 | Source: | Linguistica Espanola Actual [ISSN 0210-6345], v. 36 (1), p. 149-170 |
