Abstract: El presente documento contiene una investigación sobre Turismo Accesible. El propósito principal ha sido identificar y conocer la situación actual del mercado del Turismo Accesible, las normativas legales existentes en ámbitos nacionales e internacionales que lo regulan y amparan, así como las principales infraestructuras, actividades y servicios ofertados por alojamientos especializados en este tipo de mercado y su accesibilidad e inclusión en algunos hoteles de las Islas Canarias (España), poniendo en valor las fortalezas y oportunidades, la visibilidad en la diversificación y especialización de la oferta turística, así como transferir experiencias y conocimientos a otros posibles destinos turísticos. En la recogida de información y para el trabajo de campo se ha utilizado la metodología de estudio de caso, e investigamos las ofertas y experiencias de dos hoteles accesibles en las Islas Canarias, el Hotel Mar y Sol (Tenerife) y Nautilus (Lanzarote), que consideramos han implementado un modelo de gestión de éxito turístico.
This document contains an investigation on Accessible Tourism. The main purpose has been to identify and know the current situation of the Accessible Tourism market, the existing legal regulations in national and international scopes that regulate and protect it, as well as the main infrastructures, activities and services offered by specialized accommodation in this type of market and its accessibility and inclusion in some hotels in the Canary Islands (Spain), highlighting the strengths and opportunities, the visibility in the diversification and specialization of the tourist offer, as well as transferring experiences and knowledge to other possible tourist destinations. In the collection of information and for the fieldwork, the case study methodology was used, and we investigated the offers and experiences of two accessible hotels in the Canary Islands, the Hotel Mar y Sol (Tenerife) and Nautilus (Lanzarote), that we consider have implemented a tourism success management model.
