Abstract: Osteoporosis is a very common disease that affects both men and women and produces an important burden. Fracture prevention is the primary treatment goal for patients with osteoporosis. There are several treatments available nowadays with anabolic, antiresorptive or dual actions. A great number of new drugs are under study. In this brief review, we highlight the knowledge regarding them so far.
