An overall analysis and detailed overview of Michèle Robertss novels first provide the reader with a study of Robertss rewriting of stories that have been inspired by historical, mythological and religious women who gain a voice in her fiction. Not only will the content of Robertss novels be explored but also its connection to form, as this feminist writer has always liked body to language. Second, the book analyses personal and public discoveries in Robertss memoir, Paper Houses: A Memoir of the 70 and Beyond (2007). The personal, professional and political journeys the writer-protagonist strolls in London will be part of a feminist culture and language that the memorist preserved in her autobiography. Finally, two conversations with Michèle Roberts from 2003 and 2010 are presented in a last chapter in order to illustrate Robertss arguments when writing as a woman. Viajar por la historia de las mujeres con las novelas de Michèle Roberts, es un viaje para descubrir el trabajo de ésta como escritora feminista, novelista y memorista. Un análisis de eficacia general y el resumen detallado de las novelas de esta autora que proporcionan al lector un estudio de la reescritura de cuentos inspirados por mujeres históricas, mitológicas y religiosas que ganan una voz en su ficción. No sólo se explorará el contenido de las novelas de Roberts, sino también su conexión a la forma, ya que esta escritora feminista siempre le ha gustado el cuerpo al lenguaje. En segundo lugar, el libro analiza los descubrimientos personales y públicas en las memorias de Roberts, Paper Houses: A Memoir of the 70 y Beyond (2007). Los viajes personales, profesionales y políticos de la escritora serán parte de una cultura y un lenguaje feminista en su autobiografía.
