Abstract

Este trabajo estudia el potencial energético de la biomasa proveniente de la poda de especies vegetales y residuos orgánicos, generados en las instalaciones de la ULPGC. La primera parte introduce la problemática y analiza la situación actual en materia de valorización energética. En la segunda, se define el concepto y tipos de biomasa. Se realiza una búsqueda bibliográfica sobre las tecnologías existentes para la conversión de biomasa en energía y se analizan los residuos y sus aplicaciones. La siguiente parte incluye la delimitación de la zona de estudio y los cálculos que cuantifican los residuos y la energía generada, utilizando diferentes métodos y tecnologías. This paper studies the energy potential of biomass derived from the pruning of vegetable species and organic waste produced throughout the facilities of the ULPGC. The first section introduces the existing problems and analyzes the current situation regarding energy valuation. The second section defines the concept of biomass and its types. It includes a bibliographic search of the technology available for the conversion of biomass into energy as well as an analysis of the waste and its uses.
