Abstract: [...]The main objective of the study is to perform a comparative analysis of the attachment and development of benthic organisms in commercial nets for aquaculture cages (in this case Nylon nets) and in copper nets positioned in the same environmental conditions. The hypothesis of the study is to evaluate the lower development of biofouling in copper nets and, at the same time, to know how is the colonization process of benthic species in copper alloy nets and in the conventional nets of marine culture cages, along three samplings.
