El controlador aéreo: Caso específico de Lanzarote.

Abstract

A pesar del desconocimiento que se tiene sobre la figura del controlador aéreo sus funciones son esenciales para el correcto desarrollo de la economía de cualquier zona, sobre todo si es una isla y, especialmente si es turística, como es el caso de Lanzarote. En este estudio se analiza la profesión del controlador aéreo, su recorrido histórico y su situación actual en la isla. Estos datos se ven ampliados por los obtenidos a través de una encuesta implementada a pilotos que operan en el aeropuerto César Manrique, cuya coordinación es básica. Por medio de este análisis se busca proporcionar una visión general de esta figura, sus tareas y funciones.

Despite of the unknowledge about the figure of the air traffic controller, their work is essential for the correct development of the economy in many places, especially if it is an island or if it is a tourist area, as is the case of Lanzarote. This research analyzes the air traffic controller figure, their historical journey and the current situation for them on the island. These study has been expanded by surveys accomplished by pilots operating at the César Manrique Airport, whose their coordination is essential. The porpouse of this research is to provide an overview of their figure as well as their tasks and functions.
