Abstract: Coronaviruses (CoVs) infections are common in animals and humans, with some strains being zoonotic. The current COVID-19 pandemic originated in China and has spread globally, with millions of cases reported worldwide. Cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection have been identified in animals such as cats, mink and dogs, raising concerns about interspecies transmission. The importance of understanding the susceptibility of different animal species to SARS-CoV-2 and assessing the dynamics of infection in susceptible animal species is crucial for human and animal health, wildlife conservation and biomedical research. A total of 177 animals were included in the study, from those who had blood samples and nasopharyngeal swabs collected. The objective of this study is to evaluate the epidemiological situation of SARS-CoV-2 in Gran Canaria
