Issue Date: | 2022 | Abstract: | In order to study the prevalence of nodular lesions in sheep udders and to find out if there is a relationship between the degree of depigmentation of the skin, sun exposure and the appearance of the lesions, 600 sheep from a farm in the south of the island of Gran Canaria were examined. The lesions were sampled using the FNA technique, observed under the microscope and classified according to the type of cells observed. Furthermore, the udders with lesions were classified according to the degree of depigmentation. From the data obtained it was concluded that the prevalence of lesions on the farm is 6.67% and it was not possible to evaluate the relationship between the presence of nodular lesions and the degree of depigmentation, probably due to the young age of the animals belonging to this farm. | Department: | Departamento de Patología Animal, Producción Animal, Bromatología y Tecnología de Los Alimentos | Faculty: | Facultad de Veterinaria | Degree: | Grado en Veterinaria | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/117780 |
