Abstract: This work focused on the evaluation of the presence of Salmonella spp. mainly in feline populations of Gran Canaria, 44 individuals divided into 4 groups (10-10-10- 14) Likewise, the study of some reptiles, 2 snakes and 1 tortoise was started and 2 evaluations were carried out as initial target from two isolates of Salmonella spp. the Laboratory of Infectious Diseases of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the ULPG; (1 reptile, 1 cat) The fecal samples were processed by Human Certest for the detection of Salmonella spp. and by standard microbiological culture method. Of the total samples, only one double positive was obtained in the isolated laboratory cat sample, whose prevalence in the study corresponds to 0.0217%. The bibliographic review carried out during the study shows a clear variability in the results of the fecal samples depending on the habitat and type of habits of the population under study.
