Abstract: Epidemiological and clinical evidences suggest that Dirofilaria immitis seemed to be a powerful risk factor form allergic humans findings. The main aim of our work was to assess the relationship between the presence of Dirofilaria inmitis in cats and the high prevalence of allergic comorbidities in the human population of the Canary islands, an hyperendemic region.
