Fecha de publicación: | 2021 | Resumen: | Nowadays, it is increasingly important to expand the information of veterinary professionals on exotic animals due to the boom they have had in recent years as pets, especially in the case of rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus). General anesthesia in this species involves a series of added risks due to its physiological and anatomical characteristics, which should be known. There is not much information about anesthetics manufactured specifically for rabbits. However, there are medications that are more suitable for rabbits, since their effects, combinations and recommended doses are known. There is no single or specific protocol for rabbits; they are varied, but all are valid as long as the appropriate anesthetics are used. For this reason, a series of surveys have been carried out in order to know the different anesthetic protocols used in different clinics in Spain, and, with the results and different studies consulted, comparisons are made of the different combinations of anesthetics and it is made known which are the most commonly used. | Departamento: | Departamento de Patología Animal, Producción Animal, Bromatología y Tecnología de Los Alimentos | Facultad: | Facultad de Veterinaria | Titulación: | Grado en Veterinaria | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/110403 |
