Análisis comparativo del doblaje y subtitulado de la pelicula "Harry Potter y el Cáliz de fuego"

Abstract

El propósito del presente trabajo de fin de grado (TFG) es investigar aspectos de la traducción audiovisual de una de las películas de la saga de Harry Potter. Con ello en mente, hemos escogido la cuarta entrega: Harry Potter y el cáliz de fuego. El principal objetivo de este estudio es realizar un análisis comparativo de las normas, restricciones y técnicas que se han empleado tanto en el subtitulado como en el doblaje de la película del inglés al español. Para adentrarnos en el tema, en el marco teórico hablaremos sobre la traducción audiovisual y sobre las modalidades más utilizadas en dicha rama. También haremos un desglose de las normas, restricciones y técnicas que vamos a analizar. Para comenzar la investigación veremos la película en versión original y en su versión doblada con los subtítulos en español. Recopilaremos las muestras que consideremos que nos van a ayudar en nuestro proyecto. Para realizar la comparación contamos con la película en formato DVD.

The purpose of this final degree project is to investigate some audiovisual translation aspects of one of the films in the Harry Potter saga. We have chosen the fourth installment of the franchise: Harry Potter and the globet of fire. The main objective of this project is to carry out a comparative analysis of the translation norms, restrictions and techniques that have been used in the subtitling and dubbing from English into Spanish. In the theoretical framework we will develop the concept of Audiovisual Translation (AVT) and examine the most used modalities in this branch. Also, we will make a breakdown of the translation norms, restrictions and techniques that we are going to analyse. To start the investigation, we will watch the film on the original version and on the dubbed version with the subtitles on Spanish. We will collect the most useful samples to our project. In order to make the comparison, we have watched the film in DVD format.
