Issue Date: | 2020 | Abstract: | In this study, the incidence of tumors from the oral cavity in canines during the period between 2018 and 2020 was assessed, based on the cases of the HCV of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the histopathological analyzes provided by the Service for Investigation in Animal Pathology of Las Palmas. In addition, data on age, sex, race, and histologic type were collected. The results obtained showed a prevalence of 12.6% of oral neoplasms with respect to the total. The purebred canines had a greater predisposition compared to the mixed breeds. The average age of suffering from oral tumors was 8.9 years. They affected more in males, with 53% compared to females. The most common benign neoplasm was ossifying or fibromatous epulis, representing 40% of the total tumors analyzed. | Department: | Departamento de Patología Animal, Producción Animal, Bromatología y Tecnología de Los Alimentos | Faculty: | Facultad de Veterinaria | Degree: | Grado en Veterinaria | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/103098 |
