Issue Date: | 2019 | Abstract: | Pneumonia in small ruminants is one of the main causes of mortality, and therefore one of the most important causes of economic losses in the caprine livestock sector. Particularly in the Canary Islands there are several infectious agents involved in this pathology. The most frequent are Pasterella multocida, which is normally accompanied by Mannheimia haemolytica, and Mycoplasma spp. This study has reflected the incidence of these pathogens in different farms of goats, as well as the prevalence rate in Gran Canaria. In the study carried out 29 goat farms have been included, in which different diagnostic tests have been performed in different cases. The results obtained reflect that these pathogens are present in most of the farms analyzed, especially in the southern part of the island. | Department: | Departamento de Patología Animal, Producción Animal, Bromatología y Tecnología de Los Alimentos | Faculty: | Facultad de Veterinaria | Degree: | Grado en Veterinaria | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/101179 |
