Issue Date: | 2019 | Abstract: | The Canary Islands Common Buzzard (Buteo buteo insularum) is an endemism of the Canary Islands that belongs to Accipitridae family. In the past, it could be found in the whole archipelago, however, currently, it cannot be found in Lanzarote. It is classified as an “Almost Threatened Species”, and is one of the birds of prey with a higher incidence of admissions in the “Tafira Wildlife Rehabilitation Center” (TWRC), in Gran Canaria, many of which are caused by prosecutions of anthropogenic origin. The objective of this study was the realization of a descriptive epidemiologic study of the B. b. insularum in the TWRC, and the determination of different variables that influence both, the admission and the evolution. | Department: | Departamento de Patología Animal, Producción Animal, Bromatología y Tecnología de Los Alimentos | Faculty: | Facultad de Veterinaria | Degree: | Grado en Veterinaria | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/101175 |
