Biografía
PhD Candidate in Economic History at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. My research explores maritime trade networks, trade costs and their long-term implications for living standards and economic development. I am particularly interested in the Macaronesia region and the West African Atlantic coast. My thesis, "Maritime connectivity, trade costs and living standards in Macaronesia: a comparative study among the Canary Islands, Madeira and Cape Verde (1870-2020)", is funded by the FPU Program (University Teaching Training) of the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. My academic profile combines training in Economic History with analytical and technical skills in the handling of historical sources, applied statistics, econometrics, and network analysis.
