Biografía
Moises Diaz received the M.Tech., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in engineering, and the M.Ed. degree in secondary education from La Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas, Spain, in 2010, 2011, 2016, and 2013, respectively. He joined the Physics Department of that University in May 2021, where is currently an Associate Professor. He is a former Associate Professor at Universidad del Atlantico Medio and International University of La Rioja, Spain. His current research interests include pattern recognition, document analysis, handwriting recognition, biometrics, computer vision, and intelligent transportation systems. He has been a Postdoctoral Visiting Research with the University of Hertfordshire (UK) and a PhD Student Visiting Research with the University of Salerno (Italy), the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), ISI in Kolkata (India), Ecole Polytechnique Montreal (Canada) and University of Bari (Italy). As well, he has some experience in intelligent transportation systems (ITS) through collaborations with CICEI, at ULPGC, and Vislab, at the University of Parma. Diaz serves as a reviewer for the Elsevier PRL, Elsevier CVIU, IEEE T-HMS, IEEE T-ITS and Plos One, as well as for International Conferences, including ICDAR and ITSC. He is an IEEE and IAPR member.
