Abstract: Studies show seaweeds are valuable sources of structurally diverse bioactive compounds. These compounds exhibited various biological activities and beneficial health effects, This book focuses on four aspects of seaweeds research: bioactive compounds in seaweeds, their health benefits, effect of processing on seaweeds bioactive compounds and its biological properties, and potential applications in food and pharmaceutical industries. The book also discusses the impact of processing on bioactives, bioactivity, and bioavailability of the seaweeds upon processing and will present potential applications of the seaweeds bioactives as nutraceuticals, functional food ingredients and cosmeceuticals.
