Issue Date: | 2019 | Publisher: | Elsevier | Abstract: | The global framework of inequalities and nutrition transitions make it an urgent obligation to develop coherent, sustainable and equitable policies based on the best available evidence. Public Health Nutrition emerges as a discipline that should analyse its past so as to rebuild a successful future, seeking out synergies and alliances with the ultimate aim of improving nutrition for all peoples. Implementing practices and policies that promote health at both public and personal levels requires new ways of utilizing the reductionist and holistic paradigms of preventive nutrition and approaches that help support behavioural changes within communities and in individuals. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/70464 | ISBN: | 978-0-12-812688-2 | Source: | Encyclopedia of Food Security and Sustainability / Pasquale Ferranti; Elliot M.
