El bien común, la ciudadanía y la mediación

Abstract

En el presente tema se pretende desarrollar tres cuestiones aparentemente inconexas: el bien común, la ciudadanía y la mediación. Respecto a la primera cuestión, el bien común, se estudia la pertinencia de este concepto en unas sociedades donde los Estados-Nación y los grandes gigantes de la globalización, como los mercados capitalistas transnacionales, convierten a los ciudadanos en hijos de la abundancia y en sumisos consumidores, no tanto en destinatarios y constructores del bien común. En relación a la segunda cuestión, la ciudadanía, se estudia la actualidad de este concepto y el desarrollo histórico del mismo. Por último, se reflexiona sobre la mediación como una necesidad que requiere tanto la conflictividad social y familiar, cada vez más compleja y diferenciada, como la conciencia creciente de autonomía del hombre de hoy, que desea actuar como protagonista de la solución de sus conflictos. En tal sentido, se estudia la mediación como una entidad social requerida por el bien común.

The present theme is intended to develop three seemingly unrelated issues: the common good, citizenship, and mediation.
