Abstract: The focus is set in presenting a system that could be a realistic solution for urban traffic reduction thanks to the installation of GUIATE, an intelligent management system for public parking in both on-street and off-street. Strategy and planning methods are complemented with the use of non-invasive wireless sensors networks to gather information on traffic and both in-site and in-cloud services to inform drivers and public authorities about parking availability or saturation in real time. A previous study of current models and strategies is also included.
