C-reactive protein (CRP), lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2), secretory phospholipase A2 (sPLA2), interleukin 8 (IL8), monocyte chemotactic protein 1 (MCP1) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF alpha) were measured. Both lipid-lowering drugs had positive, complementary and additive effects on inflammatory markers, which were closely related to baseline inflammatory status.||URI:||http://hdl.handle.net/10553/52008||ISSN:||0168-8227||DOI:||10.1016/j.diabres.2011.03.009||Source:||Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice [ISSN 0168-8227], v. 93 (1), p.
