Integración y política migratoria europea

Abstract

En este contexto, resulta vital para la UE el control de los flujos migratorios de nacionales de terceros países, tanto los que se realizan de forma regular como aquellos que se producen de forma irregular. La inmigración regular no es sostenible sin políticas enfocadas a su integración. Por su parte, la inmigración irregular se afronta por las instituciones europeas con medidas preventivas. Por tanto, la política migratoria europea se enfoca a cumplIR con los objetivos clásicos de toda política de inmigración: controlar las fronteras exteriores e integrar a los inmigrantes llegados de forma regular. In this context, it is vital for the EU to control migration flows of third country nationals, as much those that occur on a regular basis as those that occur irregularly. Regular immigration is not sustainable without policies aimed at integration. Meanwhile, irregular immigration is tackled by European institutions with preventative measures. Therefore, European migration policy focuses on meeting the classic objectives of any immigration policy: control of external borders and integrating immigrants regularly.
