Resumen: The incorporation of natural fibers into biodegradable polymer matrices has gained significant attention in recent years due to the increasing demand for sustainable materials. This study explores the integration of giant reed (Arundo donax L.) fibers into polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) and polybutylene succinate (PBS) matrices, aiming to enhance the mechanical properties and biodegradability of these biopolymers. Giant reed, a fast-growing, abundant, and renewable resource, presents a promising option for reinforcing biodegradable polymers, offering potential applications in a variety of environmentally friendly products. This manuscript investigates the effects of fiber incorporation (5 % by weight) on the structural, thermal, and mechanical properties of PHA and PBS composites, contributing to the development of more sustainable materials for diverse applications.
