Fecha de publicación: | 2024 | Publicación seriada: | Revista de Osteoporosis y Metabolismo Mineral | Resumen: | Introduction: In recent years, there has been a notable interest in vitamin D, both in relation to its physiological aspects and its deficiency, to the need or not to supplement patients, to the recommended doses and even to the type of metabolite to use.
Material and methods: Given the absence of criteria universally accepted by all scientific societies and the enormous heterogeneity observed in routine clinical practice with respect to these issues, we have carried out a survey on a sample of 698 doctors from Spain from the specialties of Primary Care (PC), Internal Medicine, Rheumatology, Traumatology, Endocrinology, Gynecology and Geriatrics in order to know their opinions on various aspects of vitamin D management.
Results: There is a notable disparity in the answers to the 8 questions regarding their routine clinical practice, both in terms of the possibility of requesting a vitamin D determination and in the way of prescribing it.
Conclusion: Finally, the recommendations of the panel of experts who prepared the survey and analyzed its results are presented. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/134476 | ISSN: | 1889-836X | DOI: | 10.20960/RevOsteoporosMetabMiner.00034 | Fuente: | Revista De Osteoporosis Y Metabolismo Mineral[ISSN 1889-836X],v. 16 (2), p. 33-47, (Abril-Junio 2024) |
