Abstract

La miel es uno de los alimentos más antiguos que el ser humano ha conocido. En torno a ella se han generado multitud de mitos y leyendas y por su gran cantidad de propiedades fue, y continúa siendo, empleada para numerosos usos. sin embargo, no todas las mieles son comestibles, al contrario, algunas de ellas son tóxicas. Éste es un aspecto que sabemos se conoce desde hace siglos y no escapó a la atención de los habitantes de las tierras donde se produce este hecho. En el presente artículo se analiza este saber, su utilidad, el papel que jugó y sus implicaciones en el Mundo antiguo.

Nevertheless, all the honeys are not eatable, on the contrary, some of them are toxic.
