Resumen: This article aims to show the research carried out on landscape, territory and city linked to the American environment realized during the last years in relation to the teaching on Architecture of the Americas of the School of Architecture of Seville. It is approached from the reflection based on the analysis of numerous investigations that start from the European concept of landscape’ which covers the field not only physical and material but also cultural, historical and above all, anthropological. Such research transcends the American realm and constitutes a link on references back and forth between ways of life, realities, culture and understandings America-Spain. The research develops a methodology approaching the American city based on research and with the participation of different transversal and transdisciplinary Seminars linked to different specialists in the field and who participate as guests and propose specific lines of work and research. The paper explains the methodology carried out on the basis of thematic seminars focused on analysis, research, crisis setting and debate, as well as the results obtained. It describes the research currently under development on the American network of architecture and landscape, its advances, proposals and potentialities. The results achieved since 2010 in the various courses and the improvements made are assessed. Finally, the conclusions are presented to date and the progress on future research that complements those currently carried out in the framework of the subject.
