Biografía
Antonio Mederos-Barrera received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria (ULPGC) in 2019 and 2021, respectively, where he is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering oriented to remote sensing and artificial intelligence. Since 2020, he has been a researcher with the Institute of Oceanography and Global Change (ULPGC), where he is currently focusing on the processing of hyperspectral and multispectral images to obtain bathymetry and benthic maps using machine and deep learning techniques. Also, since 2019 to 2022, he has been a Collaborator Researcher with the Institute for Technological Development and Innovation in Communications (ULPGC), focusing on optical camera communications. Mr. Mederos-Barrera was awarded prizes for the Best Master's Degree Final Project in Spain in Remote Sensing by the IEEE-GRSS, and Best Bachelor's Degree Final Project in Spain in Telecommunication Systems by the COIT-AEIT.
