Biografía
Ámbar Pérez García is with the Institute for Applied Microelectronics (IUMA), University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), Spain. She received a B.Sc. in physics from the University of La Laguna, a M.Sc. in remote sensing from the University of Valencia, and a M.Sc. degree in education from the University of La Rioja, Spain. She also holds a Ph.D. in Telecommunications Technologies and Computational Intelligence from the ULPGC, awarded in 2025. Her research focuses on hyperspectral and multispectral image classification for aquatic pollution, with particular emphasis on band selection and model generalization. She has established international collaborations and held visiting researcher positions at several leading institutions, including Wageningen University \& Research, the Netherlands (2023, 2024, 2025); Plymouth Marine Laboratory, United Kingdom (2023); University of Extremadura, Spain (2023); Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale, France (2025); and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium (2025).
